Castelo, I'll conquer you!

Let's conquest the Castle!

Starting on the Rossio square go for Augusta street and turn left at the first street, Santa Justa. When we get to a stairs you will find on the left side warehouses "Pollux", if have not taked the breakfast, I challenge you to go up to the top floor, where they can find a simple terrace but with a great view.

After giving the good days to Lisbon, we are ready to continue way.

Again on the street we will see from the top of the stairs a arch, under it, we will find one of the smallest bookstore I know, hardly fit more than one person inside, but you can try.

Continuing the stairways of São Cristóvão can see some graffiti depicting the "Fado", as well as a stone sculpture of the Holy with the boy on his back.At the top of the stairs, pass the São Cristóvão church and continue up for the street toward the Castle of São Jorge.

Along the way we will find on our right the Chapitô a multidisciplinary space that aims at training and reintegration of young people through arts, can be a good solution for dinner or to take a drink at the end of the day, the view is something unforgettable .
Continuing to climb , turn left and find the Castle walls , just past the door and it is easy to find out where the entrance.

After visiting the castle we continue discovering Lisbon. The next stop is the viewpoint of Portas do Sol and Santa Luzia, they are practically next to each other , but have distinct personalities.

In Santa Luzia you have the chance of rest in a dainty garden and admire Lisbon while you hear the sound of water singing on the fountain.

On the other hand, on the Portas do Sol is possible to admire, besides the Alfama district and the Tagus River the Monastery of São Vicente and the dome of the National Pantheon.

My advice? Why choose one if you can have both.

When you feel ready, continue down until we find the left side of the Lisbon Cathedral, "Sé", which was built as a result of the victory in the conquest of Lisbon. It worth enter.

On front there is another church, Santo Antônio, for being the birthplace of this Holy Portuguese known to be able to find everything we need, even love.

Is day is July 13, on that date the city changes. Stingrays and pilgrimages are made in the most typical neighborhoods, and there are a wedding celebrations in his honor.

For those who are fond of wine, on the right side of the Cathedral there are on Laranjas street a nice spot called Cruzes Credo. If you have the opportunity go ther and sit by the window .

Further down we get to the Baixa, where we finalize another route .
